'Sylent Running' experiments with relationships between silence and non-silence, beauty and its opposites, through-composed melodies and improvisation, song crafting and abstraction, pristine acoustics and botched, 'confused robot' electronics. Tiny insect-like beats are pitted against thunder claps. Single chords may be left to resonate to the point of awkward.
Barney McAll, co-composer and pianist, has performed internationally with a veritable who's who of improvised music and continues to seek new and fertile musical expression with this ensemble of New York and Australian based musicians.

The ghostly beauty of Gian Slater's voice and lyrics are given an ever changing compositional and sonic backdrop that could be described as visual, subterranean, avant pop, subversive, hypnotic free jazz.

Chris Hale, one of Australias most original bassists, provides low end as well as melodic support whilst Dan west is and 'X-factor' who is freely relating
and improvising with processed sound via laptop. Ben Vanderwal is considered
the 'dark horse' and his input can either rhythmically maintain or completely subvert.

New York based guitarist Nir Felder, is a new and important voice in guitar having already performed with such luminaries as; Greg Osby, Meshell N'degeocello, Kenny Barron, Cindy Blackman, Mark Turner, Dave Douglas, Stanley Clarke and George Duke. Nir brings a distinctive and very original edge to the ensemble.
